LANDMARK RESTAURANT
MESA, AZ
JANUARY 29, 2005
There is no better way to start the New Year than to share a banquet with your ghost hunting friends—especially when you are dining at a haunted restaurant like the Landmark. The Landmark building was built in 1908 as a Mormon church. The ward was later moved to another location. Since then the red brick building has been used to house an insurance company, and Mesa Community College’s first campus. It has been the home to the Landmark Restaurant since 1981.

We all enjoyed a delicious dinner downstairs in the Garden Room. We held a brief meeting on the agenda for the night. Once the restaurant closed and the patrons were gone—the place was all ours! Our friends from AZCentral arrived and sent the film crew to follow our investigation. Tamara, a sensitive began her walk in the dining room which was once the main area of the Mormon Church. She felt the room carried deep emotions from its church affiliated days. Later in photos, Chelby captured an orb low to the ground moving among the tables. The restaurant staff often feels off balance when they work near the wait staff work center in this room.
James reported equipment failure in the clock room. The temp in the room dropped from 69 to 60 according to his thermal scanner. Two ladies that were using dowsing rods about the same time said their rods began to spin and sensed they felt a presence.
Everyone felt the presence of children in the downstairs Victorian room and felt children hid or were punished in a closet under the stairway there.
Mark Christoph filmed moving orbs in the basement on his night vision camera. Whatever was in the basement began to affect him adversely. He became light headed, shaky and sweating a lot.
There seems to be a ghost in the ladies room. The staff has given her the name of Bea. Bea had been known to turn the faucets on and off. Yvonne, another sensitive felt she was a dark-haired lady. We were able to debunk the faucet theory. A camera flash or sudden movement was enough to trigger the faucets electronic eye.
At the Heritage Hall many people photographed orbs on and around the stage. Many sensed an entity—perhaps a jilted bride weeping in a corner.
Ecto was filmed in the outside patio areas.
We gathered together on the steps for the traditional workshop group photo!
