In the late 1920's Boyce L Gulley was told he had tuberculosis. He left his wife and daughter in Seattle, Washington and resettled near South Mountain in Phoenix. He bought land began to build a Castle for his beloved daughter Mary Lou. Mary Lou loved fairytale stories of castles. Her father built and bequest Mary Lou a castle of her own when he passed in 1945.
Mary Lou toughed out those first few years in the Castle and started her Mystery Castle Tours over 55 years ago. The Castle was built with scrap material and odd objects that Boyce Gulley hauled home each evening when the development of Phoenix was at a rapid growth. It has eighteen rooms, thirteen fireplaces, a chapel, and a saloon in the basement. It also has several spirits residing within its walls. Mary Lou has seen the spirit of her father standing on a stairway. Famed psychic, Jean Dixon, has confirmed his presence.
Join us for a special afternoon tour of the Castle with Mary Lou relating tales of history, adventure, and spirits of her home. We will be taking pictures, taking EMF and thermal readings, and recording EVP as we wind our way through this amazing Castle. We will be allowed to stay just before dark-close to 6PM or as time permits.
Cost of this workshop:
$15 per guest-----This includes admission to the Mystery Castle Tour and snacks provided by the MVD Ghostchasers. The MVD Ghostchasers are matching the admission fee for each guest to the Mystery Castle Foundation.
