A SPIRIT PHOTOGRAPHY

WORKSHOP AT

THE VULTURE MINE

(NEAR WICKENBURG, AZ)

SATURDAY, JANUARY 26, 2002

2:00 PM to 6:30 PM

SPIRIT PHOTOGRAPHY WORKSHOP & TOUR OF THE VULTURE MINE

The VULTURE GOLD MINE is located near Wickenburg, Arizona. Discovered in 1863 by Henry Wickenburg, the Vulture Mine went on to become the most productive gold mine in Arizona’s history. During the mine’s glory days the population of Vulture City grew to almost five thousand people. President Roosevelt closed the mine in 1942 (W.W.II) and it was never reopened. If ghosts are to be found anywhere, the Vulture Mine and surrounding area is a very likely spot for them. Here is a ghost town where thousands of people once lived, worked, loved, hoped and died.

In 1923 seven miners and twelve burros were killed when a chamber of the mine collapsed on them. There was no chance of rescue and the bodies remain entombed under tons of rock. There is a hanging tree where at least eighteen men were hung for committing rape and murder as well as "high grading" ore from the mine. Ghosts are in abundance throughout Vulture City. The owners of the mine/ghost town as well as many employees and visitors have experienced paranormal activity in and around the mine and town.

We will meet at the entrance to the Vulture Mine at 2:00PM. This is a large ghost town with several buildings to explore during the day. You will receive a self-guided map of Vulture City. The MVD Ghostchasers will provide water, soft drinks, and snacks during the workshop.

We have been granted special permission to stay after dusk so that we may film spirits in the dark. Dowsing rods, EMF meters, thermal scanners, and tape recorders will be available for your use. We encourage you to bring your own tools if you have them. Bring your camera and lots of film. We will show you methods used to detect paranormal activity that will aid you in capturing ghosts on film.

This workshop is limited to the first twenty-five persons who register and pre-pay. The cost is $16.00, which includes the entrance fee to the Vulture Mine as well as refreshments. If the January 26th workshop fills quickly and there is sufficient interest, we will schedule a second workshop on January 27th.

To ensure your spot at the workshop we ask that all reservations and $16.00 fees be submitted prior to January 18, 2002.
