HISTORIC HAUNTED TOUR OF THE WESTWARD HO HOTEL

The Historical Team of the Westward Ho Hotel will lead us on a history tour of the Phoenix landmark. The Ho opened its doors in 1929 and was the toast of the town for many years. Several famous people stayed in the hotel that boasts 16 floors. Some of the famous guests were John F. Kennedy, Paul Newman, Elizabeth Taylor, Nicky Hilton, Roy Rogers, Jackie Gleason, Mryna Loy, Amelia Earhart, Esther Williams, Danny Thomas, Gary Cooper, Lucille Ball, Clark Gable, Henry Fonda, Bob Hope, Liberace, Lee Marvin, Tyrone Power, Eleanor Roosevelt, Shirley Temple, Al Capone, Spencer Tracey, John Wayne, and Robert Wagner married Natalie Wood on the Patio. The Historical Team will show us where the stars romped, and many of the ballrooms where the elite mingled when the Ho was the core of Phoenix society. The Hotel is now housing for the elderly and handicapped that live in self- contained apartments.

The MVD Ghostchaser team will instruct you how you can use your cameras to photograph any lingering spirits in the hotel. They will show you the proper way to use EMF meters and thermal scanners to detect the spirit energies. Recording devices might record a voice from the past. A ghost of a lady in white has been witnessed on one of the floors. With all the high profile activity of the hotel, there is no doubt an abundance of spirit activity has been left behind by the celebrities and other guests. We will conduct the tour in small groups. Each group will be led by an historian, a member of the Ghostchaser team, and a psychic to help answer any of your questions.

We will all be meeting in the lobby of the Westward Ho at 6:45PM sharp.

We are asking for a $15 donation for this workshop event.

$10 will go directly to the Historical Team at the Ho so they may continue their research and develop a Westward Ho Museum and web site. ($10 is tax deductible—receipt upon request)

We also ask that each guest bring a can good to help stock the resident’s pantry for the winter!

$5 will go to the Ghostchasers who will provide refreshments for all guests.

To insure your reservation, we ask that all $15 donations be prepaid by November 5, 2001

Please mail this donation to:
